PostSubject: How to recognize a Scam PTC Site.   Sat Jun 04, 2011 1:41 pm

It is well known that over 90% of PTC sites are scams, and it is very
important to us to stay away from these sites, because we risk to
wasting time and money. Are some signs which can make us to be more
cautious, when it comes to a potential scam:

1. Does not have a
forum
The forum is an important element for a PTC, a means of
communication between members. There we can see evidence of payment, and
any claims of the members.

2. Has Free or cheap (my addition) Domain or Host
A free
domain or host is not a bad thing, but for a PTC site is not so good.
That owner of ptc if does not have enough money for to buy a domain,
which cost $10/year, will not have enough money for to pay their
members. Example of free domain: http://www.free-domain.domain.com/

3.
Has an unprofessional design
Their script has many bugs, erorrs,
illegible writing, …totally unprofessional!

4. Has an incomplete
Terms of Service (TOS)
Among many others, an TOS must to contain all
particulars of payments (ex: the minimum amount of payment), referrals
(ex: how many referrals can we have), possible restrictions, etc.

5.
Promises large gains
More than $ 0.01 per click for standard
members, is completely unsustainable, and $1.00 per click can be only a
dream, nothing really.

6. That PTC is owned by a scammer
Fooled
once, you can be fooled and a second time.

7. That PTC is
abandoned
A PTC sites can be abandoned, if that owner missing from
forum for more than 10 days.

Even registering us on PTC with a
big forum, with own domain, an owner with no bad history, with a unique
design, we can become victims of these impostors. But if we consider the
few rules, listed above, chance to fall victim, may be significantly
reduced.

About the Writer : Andrei is the owner and writer of
the daily updated PTC blog, ScamDetector.info. ScamDetector.info has
followed hundreds of PTC/Bux sites since August of 2010.

note from me :
if you join in a site have these criteria, never invest your money of if you have to invest, make sure you use Paypall, since Paypall give up to 45 days to put dispute.

How to avoid scams! Here a few tips to tell if a website pays and is legit!

1. Proof - if they have proof of payment on their website it is most likely to be a legit company which pays.

2.Live Chat - this is always a great feature! You can ask any burning questions and get answers instantly. Use it to the full potential to confirm that the website pays and is legit.

3. Secure information- Does the website ask for any secure info such as credit card details.
Normally legit websites will just ask for a Name, Surname, Email and sometimes Home Address. Be careful in other info. Not trying to say all companies that ask for credit card details are not legit but just be careful!

4. Contact Us Page - A good indication of the website being legit is if they have a contact us page.

5. Common Sense - The best tip and shortest tip of all - just use common sense.

Hope it helps and good luck.
